Special Classes Guest Teacher Class Saturday 25th February* with Cathy Ferris When: 10am - 11am Cost: £5 on the day Level: Suitable for all levels and beginners Guest teacher Cathy Ferris will be leading the class on Saturday 21st January with a dynamic new-to-us routine set to the music of Afro Celt Sound System. Guest Teacher Class Saturday 7th April* with Noel Boycott When: 10am - 11am Cost: £5 on the day Level: Suitable for all levels and beginners Guest teacher Noel Boycott all the way from Australia will be leading the class on Saturday 7th April. Noel is a Nia Blue Belt teacher who is Green Belt Certified. There is no need to book for this extra special class - please note, class will start at 10am sharp!
Next New To Nia Sessions Saturday 3rd March (no New to Nia in April) When: 9.30am - 10.00am followed by class 10.00am - 11.00am Cost: FREE half-hour introductory session followed by the regular Saturday morning class for half price (£2.50) Level: Ideal as an introduction for beginners This is a FREE introductory session for new Nia dancers! Half an hour gives you the chance to find out more about what Nia is and what it can do for you. Then stay and experience the regular Saturday Nia class for half the usual price! Although this introductory session is free, places MUST be booked in advance by emailing karen@nia scotland.com
Venue Burntisland in Fife has been at the heart of Nia in Scotland for over four years. We run a range of Nia classes throughout the year in the beautiful dance studio The Space Upstairs. All of our classes are open to everyone, and we welcome new dancers to any class at any time in the block.
You can reach Burntisland very easily from Edinburgh (35 minutes by train, 25 minutes by car) or Glasgow (1.5 hours by train, 1hour 15mins by car). We love to dance and will come to you with taster sessions, one off group sessions or workplace sessions. Please email us for more details.
More... Practised barefoot, to uplifting music, Nia is for Every Body, what ever age, level of fitness, size or shape. New dancers are always welcome at any of our classes.
